Just like with Covid, the fact that the entire world is affected by climate change in some way doesn’t mean everyone will suffer equally. 9 out of 10 countries most vulnerable to climate change are in sub-Saharan Africa. And to make matters worse: the region’s total population is expected to double between today and 2050. That’s hundreds of millions of people who contributed little to nothing to climate change — but will be hit hardest by it. Deserves more attention.
