On hiring, rehiring, and one question to answer them all

A simple framework for making tough decisions. This is written from the perspective of an employer: Knowing what I know now, would I hire this person again? Obviously, it works the other way round, too (Knowing what I know now, would I take this job again?) — and can easily be generalised beyond work (Would I move to this place again? Would I enter this relationship again?).
