The Valtari Mystery Film Experiment

Sigur Rós have successfully made a transition from «the somewhat odd Icelandic band everyone can agree to like» to one of the bands at the forefront of leveraging the internet for their artistic work. In their latest project, called «The Valtari Mystery Film Experiment», they have a dozen film makers produce videos for the tracks of their latest album, with «a modest budget» and no instructions whatsoever. What’s more, they are inviting everyone to contribute a video, one of them will be selected to be part of the series. Six videos are already available, go watch them!

Winners of the Vimeo Awards

The rule is simple: On YouTube, you find any video. On Vimeo, you find the good ones. The Vimeo awards showcase some wonderful short films in thirteen different categories. All of them are worth your eyeballs, but if you have but little time, watch the winners of the categories Lyrical and Action Sports. And if you have a lot of time – there are also four non-winning finalists for every category right there to watch.
