Human Planet Documentary
BBC OneThe BBC is world-famous – and rightly so – for its documentaries. In what’s probably their most ambitious project to date, they have gone beyond their usual agenda of bringing spectacular views of nature and wildlife to the TV screen, turning to the human race. Interstingly, the “Beeb” treats us humans like any other living creature on the planet, sticking to its narrative of showing it in its different habitats, from oceans to deserts, from jungles to cities. The documentary of eight episodes of sixty minutes each took over three years of filming and production and is currently aired in Britain. Unfortunately, the episodes are not freely available outside the UK (yet). So start with the jaw-dropping trailer and then go on to explore the other extras the BBC is providing.
