A mere ten days after the end of the cruel terrorist attack on the Westgate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya, the world’s attention has shifted to other matters. Kenyan-American historian Tavia Nyong’o writes why we shouldn’t get Westgate off our minds just as quickly: «Westgate is anymall, whereever.» And the attack is a strong reminder that «you are always on someone’s grid, and you are never far from someone’s battlefield».
