Making cities less centred around cars is such a no-brainer for increasing quality of life. Yet there’s so much left to do. I’m writing this from Zurich, Switzerland — a city that likes to call itself bike-friendly, but nobody who has ever cycled in Zurich would agree. And of course, there are far worse cities. A new study compares measures (both carrots and sticks) and their effectiveness.
