It’s hard to pick a standout quote from this Irish Times column. You could almost pick every other sentence. Like: «We are living in the future we were warned against.», or: «There is the gravitational pull of mere inertia, the million immediacies that obscure the wider canvas of existential necessity.», or: «If we treat the world as material to be burned we ourselves will be consumed in that fire.»
