I’m tempted to counter: Some people, especially among the most privileged, clearly need to hear more bad news about climate change. Then again, Matthew Yglesias makes some important points in this piece. We won’t solve the climate crisis when we’re paralysed by fear. Key quote: «Nothing about climate change is world-ending or unavoidable or beyond the capacity of an individual human being to alter at the margin. And the margin matters a lot because it has a disproportionate influence on the extremes.»
