This illustrated explainer made me realise I had never really thought about how rescue operations after a devastating earthquake like the one in Turkey and Syria work. Makes you appreciate the efforts even more, and makes it all the more tragic that a lot of the lifesaving equipment wasn’t available, especially on the Syrian side.
