It has been driving me crazy that almost no one in Switzerland is wearing masks in public, not even in crowded trains and shops. I find it puzzling that people apparently can’t be convinced otherwise. Harvard epidemiologist Julia Marcus now gave me a fresh perspective on this, by comparing the current situation to the early years of AIDS: «Trying to shame people into wearing condoms didn’t work—and it won’t work for masks either.»
