Sigur Rós have successfully made a transition from «the somewhat odd Icelandic band everyone can agree to like» to one of the bands at the forefront of leveraging the internet for their artistic work. In their latest project, called «The Valtari Mystery Film Experiment», they have a dozen film makers produce videos for the tracks of their latest album, with «a modest budget» and no instructions whatsoever. What’s more, they are inviting everyone to contribute a video, one of them will be selected to be part of the series. Six videos are already available, go watch them!

Click the link below and make it the soundtrack of your weekend. It will stick. Trivia: They are, to my best knowledge, the first band to remix Mark Zuckerberg into one of their songs.
Their live shows are a blast, now Sigur Rós have released their first live record. Analyst’s advice: strong buy.
